The U14 Stingers completed a very successful season by winning a silver medal at the Southern Regional Tournament in St. Catharines.
The 2016-2017 season got off to a slow start as new players that moved up from U12 were finding out where they fit in and the team learned how to come together as a team. Game by game they improved.
Early in December, they went undefeated in the round robin and captured a silver medal at the Mississauga tournament.
Early in February, they went undefeated in the round robin and captured a silver medal at the Ajax tournament.
Early in March, they went undefeated in the round robin and completed the task by winning the gold medal in the Niagara Falls tournament.
And finally, they went undefeated in the round robin and captured a silver medal at the Regional tournament.
The girls gave their all every time they stepped on the ice and were rewarded for their efforts.
I want to thank everyone that helped throughout the season from the coaches, bench staff, scoreboard and clock operators and everyone who volunteered or did anything for the team at anytime during the season. You are all contributors to the girls success on the ice.
