Congratulation girls on a great weekend. The girls played four games in two days and brought home the
GOLD at the end of the day. Their first game, Saturday December 2 @8;15am, was against the hosting team Pickering. The girls took this game in an 8-1 win. During this game the girls practiced some knew plays and some of the players who have not scored as many goals as others were set up and scored. The next game was at 4:15pm on Saturday night, were the team went out for brunch and then spent some time at the movies.
The second game was a tough game against a strong Caledonia team. This game ended in a 3-3 tie, giving both teams 3 points. Sunday morning (a must win to go on) @ 10:30 was a great game against the second Caledonia team. The girls played hard and took the game 6 - 0. Way to get a shutout girls! The team enjoyed a lunch out returning to the arena ready to go for gold against the Caledonia team that they tied the day before. The Girls came out hard. It was 0-0 until 1:30 to go in the first period. Etobicoke was the team to find the back of the net first. Caledonia tied it with 5 minutes to go in the game. It was a very back and forth game. Etobicoke got the winning goal with 2 minutes to go.
Thank you for your hard work and great playing girls, you enjoy the GOLD you deserive it.
